How To Choose Night Vision Ski Goggles

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ricky_Lim]Ricky Lim
When it comes to purchasing a pair of night vision ski goggles or any kind of ski goggles for that matter, there are a number of things that you as the wearer must take into consideration. It is important that not only do they fit correctly but they also feel comfortable and you know that they will protect you when required.
Certainly there are many sites on the internet today where you can buy night vision ski goggles and it is best to carry out a comparison both on price and the style of goggles that they have to offer before you make a purchase.
When it comes to choosing your goggles it is important that you choose them in the same way as you would choose a new pair of shoes. It is important that they fit well and at all times they should be strapped well on to your hat or helmet when you are wearing them.
Also when it comes to wearing the goggles the foam that is around the googles should feel comfortable at all times and should not place any unwanted pressure on any particular part of the face at any time whilst being worn. Also there should be no kind of gap between your skin and the goggles themselves. If too much air is allowed to gain access to the eye area of the wearer this can actually cause their eyes to become dry.
As well as ensuring that the goggles fit you properly it is important that you purchase a pair which are in fact compatible with the helmet that you will wear normally when you are skiing.
By ensuring that the goggles and helmet are compatible will ensure that the night vision ski goggles actually fit securely on to your face whilst being worn with the helmet. It is important that they do not either stretch or bend when you are fitting them over your helmet or you will find that they allow air to pass through and cause problems to your eyes when skiing which could result in your safety becoming compromised as you ski.

Where to find Quality Sunglasses and why it should be important to you.
December 6, 2006 on 4:30 pm | In Sunglasses on Sale | No CommentsImportance Of Quality Sunglasses
By Brian Nel
The majority of the people to-day does not realize how important a good quality pair of sunglasses is for their eyes. This is because so many stores sell cheap sunglasses as they are only worried about net profit and not weather or not people are effecting their eye sight or not. It is not just the UV rating that is important but also the quality of the optics which gives you the clarity of vision with out any distortion no matter were out the lens you look you should have the same clarity with absolutely NO distortion.
So many people use the excuse that they are always loosing and dropping their glasses and that is why they are only prepared to buy the cheaper glasses but that is just a very feeble excuse as when people pay a $100.00 plus or minus for something they are more inclined to look after it than when paying $10.00 for the same thing. It would be totally different if it was just a cost factor and not a quality factor that did not affect your eyesight. The reason why most people lose or damage their glasses is because when one takes them off one does not know what to do with them so either one puts them on their head or down some were, too easy to forget about. For about $30.00 one can buy a reasonable good neck tie and overcome the problem as then the glasses would be either hanging around their neck or on their face.
Another very important factor is if one does a lot of out door activities like fishing, riding motor cycles, shooting etc, etc it is of great importance to make sure that the lenses on the glasses are impact resistant as one is very vulnerable and it is easy for accidents to happen . The way that lenses are tested is called a drop ball test which pretty much describes it self as the lens is placed on a machine and then a steel ball is dropped on the lens from increasing heights until the lens cracks or breaks thus determining the strength of the lens. The FDA has certain minimum specifications that they recommend for outdoor activities and active sports.
Not many manufactures exceed theses FDA specifications unfortunately as most are more worried about maximum profit instead of spending a dollar or two more and having the best quality available. This drop ball test is recognized all over the world as the way to test lenses. The department ANSI which is supposed to be who specifies if supposedly SAFETY glasses are what they say they are do not recognize the drop ball test which is really scary as what other way is there to test the impact resistance of a lens. The quality of supposedly safety glasses is worse than poor as the optics are really just about non existent with so much distortion it is a wonder that more people have not hurt themselves just from the poor quality of vision that the inferior optics gives one. It is impossible to manufacture a pair of glasses or safety glasses with any kind of quality optics and sell them for $10.00. It is the old story especially in this case, “you pay peanuts you get monkeys”.
In conclusion one has to ask one self what are my eyes worth???

Smith Union Sunglasses on sale
August 16, 2005 on 5:44 am | In Sunglasses on Sale | No CommentsGet ‘em while the summer is hot and sizzling!
Smith Union Sunglasses are a new addition to Smith’s stylish Street Series, and are the perfect blend of form and function. It’s the form that makes the Union, though. Let’s face it, it’s not too difficult these days to make sunglasses that shade your eyes and protect against UV rays. But to make a pair that is as smooth lookin’ as the Union is quite a feat. Handmade acetate frames encase adjustable wire core temples visible through the plastic (depending on frame color), and these temples are attached via resilient stainless steel hinges. The result is the Union of a durable metal core with an aesthetically pleasing colored frame. All the same lens technology goes into the Union’s as with Smith’s more technical series, but these sunglasses may have just a bit more urban appeal.
Customer reviews rock.
And they’re on sale for a limted time only at $34.95 , you save 50%!
