Smith Union Sunglasses are a new addition to Smith’s stylish Street Series, and are the perfect blend of form and function. It’s the form that makes the Union, though. Let’s face it, it’s not too difficult these days to make sunglasses that shade your eyes and protect against UV rays. But to make a pair that is as smooth lookin’ as the Union is quite a feat. Handmade acetate frames encase adjustable wire core temples visible through the plastic (depending on frame color), and these temples are attached via resilient stainless steel hinges. The result is the Union of a durable metal core with an aesthetically pleasing colored frame. All the same lens technology goes into the Union’s as with Smith’s more technical series, but these sunglasses may have just a bit more urban appeal.
